Savannah & Michael picked the Brisbane Powerhouse in New Farm for their pre-wedding engagement session, and brought along their two hilarious chihuahuas for the ride. Between the character-filled brick walls, the riverside boardwalk, and the open lawns of New Farm Park, there was plenty of room for little paws to explore and lots of places for the four of them to just be themselves.
The session was a relaxed wander from the Powerhouse’s textured walls out to the river and through the park. The chihuahuas, never short on personality, were a big part of every moment, eagerly leading the way down the paths, hamming it up for the camera, or cuddling in close on laps. Savannah & Michael were right at home, sharing quiet moments and plenty of laughs, with their pups always in the frame. The ‘Save the Date’ sign made a cameo too, giving a nod to what’s coming next.
What stood out about Savannah & Michael was how naturally they fit together, whether they were sharing a quiet look, a laugh, or a cuddle with their dogs. Their session was less about posing and more about simply enjoying each other’s company (and wrangling two excitable chihuahuas).
A pre-wedding session like this is a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, and to spend time together away from the wedding day rush. By bringing their dogs and making it their own, Savannah & Michael turned it into a real reflection of their lives together. It’s the perfect warm-up for the big day, with a few extra wagging tails thrown in.
