Nazeem & Zenobia’s Engagement Session at Scarborough Beach

Scarborough Beach in Queensland set the scene for Nazeem & Zenobia’s engagement session, and it holds a special place in our own story too. Back in 2016, She Said YES was just getting started as a studio and we were finding our feet with North Brisbane’s best beachside locations. Nazeem & Zenobia, dear friends of ours, were right there beside us.

The session was relaxed and full of laughter, with the two of them wandering barefoot on the sand, sharing a playful dance by the water, and enjoying the late afternoon light. Whether making heart shapes with their hands or simply sitting together on a bench, every moment felt genuine and easy. We even had a red car and some spontaneous sand art to mark the date.

Getting to photograph friends is a privilege, and Nazeem & Zenobia made the most of it. Their warmth is obvious, and their comfort with each other set the tone for the whole session. It’s sessions like these that remind us why having a pre-wedding shoot is worth it,there’s no pressure, just time to get comfortable in front of the camera and enjoy each other's company.

Looking back, this day wasn’t just about capturing memories for Nazeem & Zenobia, but also about helping us shape what She Said YES would become. Scarborough Beach, with its open skies and quiet corners, was the perfect place to start.
