Leigh & Ash’s Pre-Wedding Session at The Abbey Cobaki

12 August 2017 · The Abbey Cobaki, Cobaki Lakes NSW

Tucked up in the hills near the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads border, Leigh & Ash chose The Abbey Cobaki for their pre-wedding session. The lakeside open-air wedding chapel gave us peaceful water views and plenty of sunshine, setting the scene for a day that felt both relaxed and a little bit special. We wandered the sunlit paths, stopping to take in the quiet beauty of the place, before heading out to the lawns for a picnic under the trees. The afternoon finished at a nearby lookout, just in time for a sunset that turned everything golden.

From the start, Leigh & Ash were easy company. There was no rush, just a gentle pace as they walked hand in hand, shared a few laughs, and settled in together. The picnic was a highlight, simple, full of soft smiles and the kind of playful moments that come with just being yourselves. The setting sun brought out something calm and close between them, perfect for those last shots at the lookout.

Getting to know Leigh & Ash through the session was a reminder of why these pre-wedding shoots matter. It’s a chance to slow down before the big day, to get comfortable in front of the camera and with each other, and to enjoy a bit of time away from all the planning. By the end, they were relaxed and ready for whatever comes next, with a set of photos that feel true to them.

If their wedding day is anything like this afternoon, it’s bound to be full of warmth, laughter, and all the little moments that make it their own.
