Bethany & Keegan’s Pre-Wedding Session at The Spit, Gold Coast

The Spit on the Gold Coast set the scene for Bethany & Keegan’s pre-wedding session. With the pier stretching out above and the ocean rolling in, we had everything we needed, sun, surf, and those big Queensland skies. The sun was really belting down that day, so we brought out some powerful flash to balance it all out, letting the couple shine against the dramatic backdrop.

From the first shot under the pier to the last on the sunlit dunes, Bethany & Keegan made it easy. They were relaxed, playful, and completely wrapped up in each other, whether they were dipping their toes in the water or walking hand in hand along the shoreline. There were plenty of laughs, a few quiet moments, and a lot of genuine smiles.

This session was special for us. It was the start of something much bigger, a connection with their whole family. After Bethany & Keegan’s wedding, we had the privilege of photographing each of their siblings’ weddings too. That sense of trust and tradition all began with this day at The Spit.

A pre-wedding session like this gives couples a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, away from the pressure of the wedding day. It’s a chance to soak in the moment, get to know your photographer, and feel at ease just being yourselves. For Bethany & Keegan, it was the first step in a story we’ve been lucky enough to follow ever since.
